Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about how BPSee handles subscriptions, privacy, and clinical data.

Does BPSee collect my health data?

Absolutely not. BPSee operates on a strict serverless architecture. We do not have any backend servers. All your blood pressure records are saved directly to your local sandbox and synced privately via your own Apple iCloud storage.

Why was I charged after the free trial ended?

According to Apple App Store policies, free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you wish to avoid automatic renewal, please manage or cancel your trial in iPhone Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions at least 24 hours in advance.

What makes BPSee's camera detection different from traditional photo scanning?

Traditional OCR apps require you to take a photo of your blood pressure monitor, upload or parse the picture, which is slow and clutters your photo library. BPSee utilizes a custom neural network model to process the video stream locally and in real time. It extracts values in milliseconds without ever capturing or saving a single photo, keeping your camera roll 100% clean.

Why does BPSee save a crop of the LCD screen?

To provide unassailable proof. While AI is highly accurate, it is not infallible. By keeping a small high-contrast photographic crop of the original LCD numbers next to your digital record, we allow you and your doctor to cross-verify the data instantly. This crop is also embedded in the exported PDF reports for maximum clinical reliability.
